Samco Inc. (TSE: 6387) has announced plans to strengthen its collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) in early 2025. This expanded partnership will focus on technology exchange in energy science and talent development, including the recruitment of graduates from IIT Delhi’s master’s and doctoral programs.
On February 10, 2025, Samco Inc. President & CEO Tsukasa Kawabe visited IIT Delhi, where he met with Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, and Prof. Vamsi Krishna Komarala, Head of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering. During the meeting, both parties reached an agreement to deepen their collaboration.

Industry-academia partnerships play a crucial role in driving technological innovation in India, with IIT Delhi at the forefront. The institute actively collaborates with domestic and international companies to develop advanced technologies, nurture talent, and bring cutting-edge solutions to society.
Since its founding in 1979, Samco has been a key player in the Indian market, supplying equipment to leading research institutions, including multiple IITs. Most recently, the company delivered the PD-2203L, a multi-chamber plasma CVD system designed for high-efficiency silicon heterojunction cells, and tandem solar cells in combination with perovskites and transition metal oxides-an area of growing interest in India.

A formal signing of this agreement is expected within the coming months. This collaboration is anticipated to accelerate Japan-India technology exchange and contribute to advancements in industrial science and innovation in both countries.
